BEARSKIN LAKE COTTAGE BOUNDARY WATERS CANOE AREA
A cottage nestled in the woods overlooking Bearskin Lake, a single canoe portage from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of northern Minnesota. The form, in part, take its inspiration from the rugged Precambrian Shield bluff it surmounts and the upper corduroy finish from the dense boreal forest. Green design elements include extensive use of restoration lumber, super insulated membrane and a photovoltaic solar system.
