CREEKSIDE FARM

Originally an early 20C farmhouse with 19C barns, the architecture of this residential building complex borrows from the regional vernacular in its equestrian setting, 20 miles west of Minneapolis. The house, guesthouse and pool house surmount a broad hilltop and are connected through colonnades, walkways and a trellis. The resulting space produces a grand outdoor room of gardens with prospects of a pond and wetlands toward the west, the two original barns to the north and a wooded creek bed with riding trail to the east.
